Why choose a local Yorkshire wedding videographer?

I was born in York and I’ve been filming weddings across Yorkshire for 18 years, so I know this county well. Yorkshire has a huge range of places to marry, from historic halls and stately homes to rustic barns and gardens, and each one brings something different to a wedding film.

That local knowledge helps on the day. I know when road closures and traffic might cause a problem, so I know when to set off early, and I know many of the venues and the people who run them, so the day runs smoothly and you can concentrate on each other. It also means I know the best angles, the quiet corners and where the light falls at each place, and where to stand a couple at sunset for the golden-hour shots.

I’ve filmed more than 300 weddings, and 14 of the venues I film at recommend me to their couples. I’m an I Do Wedding Awards 2024 winner and a member of the I Do Trusted Supplier Network, but what matters to me more is that couples tell me they forgot I was there.

Where do I film in Yorkshire?

Which Yorkshire venues do I film at?

I’ve filmed at country houses, guildhalls, converted barns and estates from the Yorkshire Wolds to the edge of the Dales. Others I’ve filmed at include Yorkshire Wedding Barn near Richmond, Rushpool Hall, Villa Farm and Woolas Barn. How do I film a Yorkshire wedding?

Every wedding I film uses at least five cameras and six wireless microphones, and everything is backed up three times on the day. Drone footage is included where the weather and your venue allow. It’s just me on the day, whichever package you choose, so it stays calm and unobtrusive, and a second shooter is available as an add-on.

I don’t pose you or direct the day. Most people forget I’m there within the first hour, which is exactly what I’m aiming for, and I keep a guest cam moving round the party so you see the evening through your friends’ eyes as well.

What does a Yorkshire wedding video cost?

My full-day films start from £1,750. Your exact price depends on your date and venue, so I don’t publish a rate card. Instead, the Instant Quote form on my Investment page gives you a personal price for your date and venue. There are three packages, and that page shows what each one includes, plus the extras you can add.

Travel is free within 50 miles of York, which covers most of Yorkshire. For anywhere further, such as the Lake District, I quote travel clearly up front with no inflated day rates. Standard delivery is around three months, and it can be longer in peak season. Extras are priced separately: an extra hour of coverage is £175, a second shooter is £495 and express editing with a two-week turnaround is £450.

Booking is secured with a deposit and a signed contract, and the rest is due before the wedding. Afterwards you get a private online gallery with your films ready to download and share in full quality.
