Why film your wedding in Sheffield?

Sheffield’s blend of urban charm and nearby natural beauty makes it a wonderfully versatile place for a wedding. It’s the city they call Steel City, with the Peak District on its doorstep, so couples can choose anything from a city venue to a country house or a barn within a short drive.

I like weddings across South Yorkshire because the range suits how I film. There are grand halls, converted barns and country houses, and every one needs something different from me, but the approach stays the same: a small kit, no posing, and time to pay attention to the people rather than the equipment.

With 18 years behind a camera and more than 300 weddings filmed, a venue I haven’t seen before doesn’t worry me. Before your day I spend time understanding what matters to you and looking at the venue, so I can plan where the best light and the best angles will be.

Which venues do I film at within reach of Sheffield?

I film at plenty of venues across South Yorkshire and the countryside around it. Tankersley Manor is a manor hotel near Barnsley. Hooton Pagnell Hall and Thornhurst Manor are near Doncaster, and I’ve filmed at Bawtry Hall too. Hodsock Priory is near Worksop, on the border of Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire, and Stretton Manor Barn is in the Derbyshire countryside near Chesterfield.

How do I film a Sheffield wedding?

Every wedding I film uses at least five cameras and six wireless microphones, backed up three times on the day, and I include drone footage where the weather and your venue allow. It’s just me, so the day stays quiet and unobtrusive, and if you’d like an extra pair of hands a second shooter is available as an add-on.

I don’t hover and I don’t direct. I keep my distance, watch for the moments that matter and let the day happen, which is why my couples tell me the film feels like their wedding rather than a set of staged scenes.

The only time I’ll ever ask anything of you is for a couple of minutes of portraits, if you want them, and even that is entirely optional.

What does a Sheffield wedding video cost?

My full-day films start from £1,750. Your exact price depends on your date and venue, so I don’t publish a rate card. There are three packages, and that page shows what each one includes, plus the extras you can add.

Travel is free within 50 miles of York. Sheffield is right on the edge of that, so I’ll tell you clearly in your quote whether anything extra applies. Standard delivery is around three months, and it can be longer in peak season. Extras are priced separately: an extra hour of coverage is £175, a second shooter is £495 and express editing with a two-week turnaround is £450.

Booking is secured with a deposit and a signed contract, and the rest is due before the wedding. Afterwards you get a private online gallery with your films ready to download and share in full quality.
