This guide explains what changes the price of a wedding video, what you get with each of my three packages, and how to make your budget go further.
What affects the price of a wedding videographer?
Every wedding is different, so every quote is too. These are the things that move the price.
- Hours of coverage. The longer a videographer is with you, the more there is to film and to edit. For most weddings, 10 hours covers getting ready through to the first dance. If your day runs longer, I can add hours rather than you paying for a package that doesn’t fit.
- Cameras and sound. I use at least five cameras and six wireless microphones on every wedding, so your ceremony and speeches are covered from several angles without me hovering next to you.
- Crew. It’s just me on the day, whichever package you choose. If you’d like an extra pair of hands, a second shooter is available as an add-on.
- What you receive. A teaser, a highlight film, the full ceremony, the full speeches and a longer feature film all take editing time, so the more films you want, the higher the price.
- Travel. Travel is free within 50 miles of York. Beyond that I quote it clearly up front, with no inflated day rates.
- Your date and venue. Both feed into your quote, which is why the Instant Quote form on my Investment page asks for them.
- How soon you need it. Standard delivery is around three months, and it can be longer in peak season. Express editing with a two-week turnaround is available as an add-on.
What do you get with each of my packages?

To Cherish suits couples who want the key moments beautifully filmed: a multi-camera ceremony and speeches, a teaser, a highlight film and a private online gallery.
To Hold adds the full ceremony and the full speeches, so you can watch every word again.
Your Everything covers your day from bride prep to the first dance, and adds a feature film of 20 minutes or more and a premium wood display box.
How much do the extras cost?
Extras are priced individually. These figures are a guide, because every quote is built around your actual day.

How can I get the best value from my wedding film?
A few practical ways to make your budget go further:
- Match the coverage to your day. For most weddings, 10 hours covers you from getting ready through to the first dance. If you have a lot going on either side of that, such as an evening arrival, we can add hours rather than you overpaying for a package that doesn’t fit.
- Choose the films you’ll actually watch. If a highlight film is all you want, To Cherish covers the key moments. If you’d like to relive the vows and the speeches word for word, look at To Hold or Your Everything.
- Only add what matters to you. A second shooter, raw footage and express editing are priced separately, so you can leave off anything you don’t need.
- Check how far your venue is from York. Travel is free within 50 miles.

What should I ask a wedding videographer before I book?
